Bill White

I have a Bachelors degree from the US Air Force Academy and a Masters degree in Computer Science from Stanford. I was in the computer business for a long time until March 2020 when I became unemployed due to the coronavirus situation and seriously reduced economic activity at Mobileframe, where I had joined the technical staff in November 2015. They have a great product and I hope they are able to weather the health emergency.

Prior to Mobileframe I was a software engineer at Iron Speed where we were constantly improving our extraordinary web application generation tool, Iron Speed Designer, until being forced to close on September 1, 2015 by mounting legal fees necessary to combat a patent troll. Before joining Iron Speed I was the General Manager of PC Crisis Line, where I spent most of the time helping people with their computer problems.

I began my career in the computer business with the US Air Force where I was a programmer, systems analyst, and manager of computer programming with the SR-71 program at Beale AFB. The SR-71 is a great airplane, having many interesting anecdotes about its exploits. This is typical: Major-Brian-Shul-I-loved-that-jet, and here's a great interview with a pilot and one of the many documentaries on YouTube,

Following the Air Force, I was a research programmer for Stanford University and then became an independent small business and programming consultant. During that time I was a principal in Teknowledge, Inc., one of the first AI knowledge engineering companies. I was also a Boy Scout leader for many years, coached youth sports, and have run for public office as a Libertarian. You can see more on my profiles at FaceBook, and LinkedIn. Today both Kathy and I are retired and enjoying focussing on our family.

There are a number of web sites that I have worked on:
City Art Gallery , Erik White , Gravitational Art , West Valley Diary , Raleigh Securities , Stand For Freedom - Kneel To Tyranny , Articles of Good Governance ,
and here's a list of the training and marketing videos that I produced while at Iron Speed.

There is also a collection of other interesting places in cyberspace that you should find useful:
Astronomy Picture of the Day has a different image each day of our fascinating universe.
Stellarium is planetarium software that shows exactly what you see when you look up at the stars.
Beyond Compare is the ideal tool for comparing files and folders.
Confidesk is the secure email and file storage service that I use.
RoboForm is the best passwork management tool I've found.
Readit For Me provides summaries of important books to save you time.
Celsius was a good place to earn and borrow with your cryptocurency until they declare bankruptcy.
It remains to be seen whether they will be able to return to their vision of unbanking the world.
